The Road to Rockberry...

Welcome to Rockberry Ranch! Our story begins when our family stumbled upon the magnificent 100-acre Poteet farm and the historic Rock House homestead nestled just south of San Antonio. Filled with awe and brimming with dreams, we knew we had discovered something truly special. It was during our visit to the renowned Poteet Strawberry Festival that our hearts were captivated, and we made the bold decision to embark on an extraordinary journey.

 

Driven by a shared vision and a passion for nature, adventure, and wide-open spaces, we set out to create a place where families and individuals could escape the chaos of everyday life and immerse themselves in the beauty of the countryside. With boundless inspiration from the dedicated Poteet Strawberry growers we met, we rolled up our sleeves and meticulously planted 13,000 strawberry plants and 1,600 blackberry plants. Our aim was to prepare the farm to welcome guests and offer them an unforgettable experience.

 

Paying tribute to the century-old Rock House, an emblem of history and charm, we named our little slice of paradise Rockberry Ranch. The name pays homage to the rich heritage of the land and the berries we  grow. Today, Rockberry is a true working farm with strawberry fields, blackberry orchard, pumpkin patch, lavender and flower farm. Our love of God and family serves as our guiding light, inspiring us to nurture the land and care for the animals entrusted to us.

 

Rockberry Ranch is more than just a farm—it's a labor of love. Each day brings new growth and transformation, as we continuously strive to create a haven where joy, laughter, and connection flourish. After countless hours of dedication and hard work, we are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to all who seek a Texas Fun Farm Adventure near San Antonio.

The Seasons at Rockberry Ranch:

Spring and Fall

​

Springtime at Rockberry Ranch is like no other. Step into The Patch to pick the famous Poteet Strawberries and Blackberries, or take a stroll through the flower fields for a breathtaking display of buttercups, zinnias, cosmos, and sunflowers. The newly-planted Lavender Farm is sure to take your breath away with its sweet fragrance and picturesque scenery. With custom murals, farm art, and stunning photo opportunities at every turn, Rockberry Ranch is a photographer's dream come true. And if you're lucky, you might catch some live music under the oak trees on the weekends.

Take a stroll through the Rockberry Ranch Barnyard and Petting Corral to meet and make friends with our furry friends, like llamas, sheep, and goats. Visit the baby barn to see the latest additions to the herd, and then get ready for some real fun! Climb aboard the Bee Train, explore the Hay Bale Art Trail, and enjoy the custom playscapes, giant strawberry jumping pillow, and Rope a Steer.

When you need a break, grab a bite to eat or a drink at Rock House Draw. Choose from frozen strawberry lemonade, or a local craft beer or wine. Snap a selfie in front of the custom murals or beside the seasonal flower fields and farm displays, and don't forget to visit with the Easter Bunny during Easter Celebration Weekends. As Strawberry Season fades away, the sweet and juicy Blackberries take center stage. The U-Pick Blackberry Orchard opens in May, complete with flower gardens, blackberry lemonade, and even more farm adventures.

In the fall, Rockberry Ranch transforms into the ultimate Pumpkin Town, with a pumpkin patch, and an explosion in all things orange. Visit the patch to pick the perfect pumpkin or shop pumpkins or gourds in the giant pumpkin barn. Visit the flower field to pick your own sunflowers and marigolds during this special time of the year. Special butterfly themed weekends witness the annual migration of Monarch Butterflies at Rockberry. Pumpkin themed photo ops abound with fun farm activities, petting zoo, live music weekends, food trucks with fall favorites like roasted corn, turkey legs, kettle corn, plus craft beer and wine.
